Christmas Light Tour
The holiday season is here again, and there is no better way to celebrate than to take a Christmas lights tour around Colorado Springs! Here are some of the Springs’s best spots for Christmas Lights!
Starting in 2017, Timberline has had the privilege to install Christmas lights at Broadmoor Seven Falls. View our drone footage of the decor above, and plan a visit this holiday season!
“The experience [of being part of this project] is a combination of excitement, fear, and thrill,” said Judd Bryarly, Vice President of Timberline Landscaping.
“You are excited because it’s a large project that attracts thousands, there is pressure to get it right and you have a short window to get everything completed. We map and plan every detail ahead of time which makes the actual installation go smooth even when the plan inevitably shifts from what is on paper.
Its fearful because thousands will be seeing your work and the expectation with such a high end client is perfection. One misstep and you can look bad and the client may not ask for your services in the future.
The thrill comes from knowing we did our best, it looks fantastic and waiting for feedback from the client and the public. It’s a great feeling!
We look forward to seeing people having fun, taking pictures and spending time with the people they enjoy being with the most. Everyone is creating their own memories.”
Timberline was proud to install the Christmas Lights of the City of Manitou Springs this holiday season. “The City of Manitou Springs has been impacted by construction, the closure of the Cog Railway and parking trouble,” said Natalie Johnson, Executive Director of Manitou Springs Creative District.
“Holiday lighting gives us an opportunity to transform the conversation into something positive and to boost the economy in Manitou Springs. We are still waiting on numbers, but we are confident that an investment in holiday lighting is an investment in our businesses and generates pride in those who live here.”

Kevin Pickett and his wife Linda have been decorating their home with computerized lights since 2000. Their display has been a yearly tradition for Colorado residents, but they have been recognized on national computerized Christmas light listings. The Picketts continue to light their home in hopes that the Christmas lights tradition never goes away:
“You just don’t see the streets of houses decorated with lights the way it use to be. Maybe people have gotten too busy, and don’t have the time to put up lights. But as a small boy, taking those rides in the car at night to look at all the Christmas Lights is one Christmas tradition I don’t want to see go by the wayside. Our kids are all grown and out on their own, but I still still go to the extreme in decorating our house, hoping it brings a smile to some small child who doesn’t have lights of their own. Besides, I’m just a big kid myself who hasn’t let the bright lights of a display fade to a memory.”
Be sure to visit the Pickett’s display this season starting December 4, from 5:30 – 10:00 pm nightly in December, and tune to 93.5 FM to listen to the music.
