Julie Penrose Fountain
The Julie Penrose sculpture fountain in America the Beautiful Park is intended to celebrate the cycle of water and life.
The 4-story-tall steel structure named Continuum sprays water as it rotates four revolutions per hour and is here for our enjoyment.
This is a wonderful park to bring the family especially in these hot summer days. There are plenty of picnic tables along with a hiking trail(Fountain Creek Trail).
With 366 spray jets, the fountain is a popular place to cool down in the summer and enjoy views of Pikes Peak.
It’s open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at 126 Cimino Drive, off the West Colorado Avenue Bridge.
Dedicated in 2007, the Julie Penrose attraction is one of two city fountains; the other is Uncle Wilbur downtown in Acacia Park which also is a popular attraction in the summer.
