Snowy Surprise in Summer
I’m sure you’ve heard, we got snow this past week!
The latest snowfall in nearly 100 years hit Colorado on Friday. Nearly two feet of snow fell on the first day of Summer. Measured a few hours west of the capital of Colorado in Steamboat Springs where elevations reach 7,000 feet. Snow markers at the Steamboat Resort in Steamboat Springs, Colo. showed climbing totals that neared 24 inches, as reported by KCNC.
Parts of Colorado were issued a flood advisory from increased snowmelt and rainfall following the summer storm with banks and low lying areas potentially flooding.
Many parts of the world are getting wild weather patterns, but snow this late is definitely a big surprise.
Did you get to enjoy some of the summer snow?!
