Welcome to Tiny Town & Railroad!
It’s just a short drive west of Denver into the foothills to spend the day among our kid-sized buildings, riding the train, enjoying the fresh air while the kids frolic on the playground, and then relaxing with your picnic lunch or something from our snack bar while the sound of the breeze in the tall pines washes your stress away. There is lots to do at Tiny Town, and one of the first things most people do is ride the train!
Our trains depart from the station, right behind the gift shop, about every 1/2 hour, and more often on weekends and holidays. Depending on the day, you’ll ride behind one of our two real steam engines, or our Rio Grande F7 diesel replica. The ride lasts 9 to 10 minutes, and allows you to see parts of the park that are not accessible any other way. Fare is only $2, and kids under 2 ride free with an adult.
You’re welcome to bring your picnic basket or cooler to the picnic area under our towering pine trees. Picnic tables await you, but due to fire considerations, no barbeques or open flames are permitted. Please don’t bring glass bottles — broken glass spoils the fun for everyone.
We’re happy to have you bring your birthday girl or boy and all their friends and parents to celebrate their special day at Tiny Town. You can bring your friends, presents, cakes and all the fixin’s, and we can help with ice cream cones from the snack bar. If you’re planning a large group (more than 12) please call our office at (303) 697-6829 between 10 and 4 and let us know when you’re planning on coming.
We really like hosting classes on field trips, day camp events, and the like. Please call us at (303) 697-6829 between 10 and 4 with any questions you may have, and to let us know when you’re planning your trip. We look forward to having you visit.
The gift shop is located next to the loading platform for train rides, and you will find a variety of Tiny Town and train-themed gifts for kids of all ages. The snack bar is the place for a chili dog lunch or something cool to drink.
We also have everyone’s favorite summer snack: Ice Cream!
We can accommodate wheelchairs, walkers and similar mobility helpers on the platform for the boarding convenience of those who want to ride the train. There is a gently sloping paved path from the entrance all the way down to the picnic and
